Does Talkspace Charge If You Cancel a Session?

If you cancel a session with your Talkspace provider more than 24 hours before your appointment time, you will not be charged for that session. However, if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, your session will count.

Also, if you have a subscription plan and cancel it before the end of the billing cycle, you may still be charged for the remaining days in that cycle.

  • If you cancel a session less than 24 hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be charged for the full cost of the session.

Yes, you can freeze your Talkspace membership for seven days at any time. This option is available to clients who want to temporarily pause their subscription.

How do I Freeze my Talkspace subscription?

Talkspace clients can put their subscriptions on hold for a week at any time. If you won’t be able to use Talkspace services for a short time, we recommend pausing your subscription.

Please note that if you get Talkspace services through your employee or medical plan benefits, pausing won’t affect your plan because you may only be charged for sessions you authorize in your room or have limited authorization windows.

If you have a time-based subscription, your billing date will be pushed back by the number of days your subscription is on hold. This way, you won’t lose time with your provider and won’t be charged for the time you didn’t use.

Keep in mind that this pause will end on its own, so it’s a good idea to set a reminder to check back in if you need more time.

If you want to put your subscription on hold for more than 7 days, contact support@talkspace.com for help.

Follow these steps to put a 7-day hold on your subscription:
